The Neophyte was modelled and detailed in zbrush 3, Textures were painted in photoshop, lighting, materials, and rendered in 3ds max 9. This is almost a completely raw render. Post processing in photoshop included only adding depth of field blurring, and some subtle tonal adjustments. Critiques welcome.

Like this artistic use of 3D, very different, in positive way. Looks more like photomanip and/or airbrushing. Background & lighting (HDRI?) I think might need some adjustment, but even in that way - very cool. And dark. And what pays my attention is well chosen color scheme. :+fav:

thanx... yea there's an hdri file thats lighting the majority of the scene besides a couple of fill lights...and the textures are hand painted which account for the painterly feel

wow... I love his mouth and skin texture... I know nothing of 3d proggies so no help critiquing there.
